چکیده

The oyster mushroom (Pleurotus florida) is one of the cultivated edible mushrooms and has certain medicinal properties as well economic ecological values. Every year, massive amounts ligno-cellulosic agricultural crop residues are produced worldwide, not all them properly utilized. There many ways managing waste, which cultivation. This study was conducted to compare influence selected consortiums on growth Pleurotus florida. species different combinations substrates, viz., dried bread grass (Brachiaria brizantha), soybean straw, sawdust, rice wheat cotton sugarcane bagasse. Parameters such height stipe, girth width pileus, biological efficiency, moisture content fruiting bodies were evaluated. All experiments performed in triplicate. supreme combination substrates found be (8%), straw (15%), saw dust (25%), (20%), (10%), bagasse (7%). given best yield terms mean fresh weight (56.5 g), stipe (3.86 cm), (18.33 mm), pileus (5.60 cm). maximum efficiency obtained 75.55%.

Growth and Yield of Oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) on different substrates

Cultivation of Pleurotus ostreatus on different substrates such as rice straw, rice straw + wheat straw, rice straw+ paper, sugarcane bagasse and sawdust of alder was investigated. All the substrates except rice straw were supplemented with 10% rice bran. The substrate without supplement was considered as control. The effects of various substrates on mycelial growth, colonization time, primordi...

Optimization of Pleurotus Mushroom Cultivation on Saline Sisal Solid Waste

Submitted: May 21, 2013; Accepted: Jul 3, 2013; Published: Jul 20, 2013 Abstract: Mushrooms are a primary part of managing solid waste, building organic soil and returning minerals to the soil. Sisal processing in Kenya generates an estimated 611,875 tonnes of solid waste annually, which is discarded leading to environmental pollution. Sisal waste contains; lignin, cellulose and hemicelluloses ...

Cultivation of Florida Oyster Mushroom on Various Types of Substrate

Valorisation of agricultural wastes is one of the main objectives for activity optimization in agriculture industry. One method for waste utilization implies their use as substrate for obtaining edible mushrooms, which are a raw material of interest in current food industry. The aim of the paper was the cultivation of Pleurotus ostreatus var. florida species, on diverse common plant wastes. The...

Importance of laccase in vegetative growth of pleurotus Florida.

Mycelial culture of Pleurotus florida produced highest extracellular laccase in optimum growth medium. At least two laccases (L(inf1) and L(inf2)) were shown to be present in the culture filtrate. Low-laccase-yielding mutants with impaired L(inf2) activity had poor mycelial growth and could not form fruit body, whereas the revertants from the same mutants were similar to the parent in mycelial ...
